History/Life Overview:
Cassidy has been on the run for almost as long as she can remember. Her parents met via the internet where they had both blogged about a shadowey figure that had been stalking them, and worked together to try to understand the spiralling nightmare their life had become. Cassidy wasn't really planned, just something that happened along the way.

They tried to assemble something of a normal life in which to raise their child, but 'the Stalker', as they called him, continued to haunt them both. Her father was the force of stability, whilst her mother's mental condition worsened, and the encounters increased in frequency.

Cassidy's schooling was patchy, but she did learn a number of useful 'extra-curricular' skills from her parents - how to break into houses, pick locks, and how to run. Really run.

When Cassidy was twelve, things hit their worst. Her parents seemed to discover something important about their haunting, which eventually led to their suicide. She can remember hearing her father pull the trigger, but she can't remember her mother's death at all. Psychologists told her she must have repressed the memory in shock. She was shunted through child services for a few years, but a trail of mysterious disappearances accompanied her through the foster homes, and she eventually ditched on one family to strike out on her own, to keep running, to try and find out who the Tall Man was and what her parents learned that killed them. She has been on the move for a couple of years now, and worse still, she can feel the Tall Man closing in, drawing closer to her all the time.

Personality: Living as others died or went missing made Cassidy into the cold, callous person she is presently. Life on the run made her hard. Bitter. Her limited social interactions are often spent manipulating people, and she usually considers herself alone even when surrounded by people. There's only so long you can be afraid all the time before it just becomes about pragmatism. Cassidy's driving force is her desire to live. She doesn't want to die, and she is willing to do whatever it takes to survive.

Entry type: Super combo effort - written/comic mash-up of joy. Cassidy keeps an online blog with pictures or video, partly so that she always has her stuff backed up, and partly for reasons to be disclosed in her introduction.

Items:
One backpack, with a change of clothes, and a hooded army surplus parka.
One mask, painted to look scary for a sort of alter-ego she will develop for contacting or manipulating other Slendy survivors she finds, signing any clues she leaves with the tag 'Spite'.
A torch, a camera phone (stolen), her mother's polaroid camera, a dossier of notes and scraps, things for picking locks (and a crowbar for manually overriding them), a big sharp knife, and $430 cash (total).
And that is all she has in the world.

Liner notes: I've been watching a lot of EveryManHybrid, MarbleHornets, and most recently TribeTwelve lately, and so when I saw the opportunity to explore a Slendyverse I kind of couldn't help myself. At the same time though I wanted to approach it from a different angle than what I've already seen, so rather than someone who's stumbled across Slendy recently I dreamed up a professional survivor, the kind of person who would go as far as stalking or manipulating other haunt-ees if it would benefit her in some way.
